Unique Idea for Garter and Bouquet:

We got married later in life and therefore did not have very many single men and women invited to our wedding as most of our friends and family were already married. So we needed to come up with a replacement to the traditional bouquet and garter throwing as we didn't want a single man or woman standing on the dance floor to catch the toss. We invited everyone onto the dance floor and the dj played several slow songs. As the songs went on, the dj told all couples married two hours or less to sit down (us of course). Then a few moments later, any married a year or less, than five years, ten years and so on, until there was only one couple left - the couple who had been together the longest. They were my husbands aunt and uncle and had been married for almost sixty years. We asked them to stay on the dance floor while I took a seat and my husband made a big show of removing my garter.
