Girly Beer

What do Chamomile, Heather, Chrysanthemums all have in common? They are all edible flowers and micro/craft brewers are now making beer with them. The ultimate girly beer, made with flowers!

The May issue of Food Network Magazine featured these three floral infused beers:

 

Cuvee des Fleurs beer from Southampton Brewery ( $12) is a tart beer featuring chamomile, rose hips, marigold and lavender.

 

Fraoch Ale from William’s Brothers Brewing Company ($16)  is a spicy beer featuring heather.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Chateau Jiahu from Dogfish Head Brewery ($12) is a sweet beer featuring mum buds and wildflower honey.
